On June 25th, 2010, Brad Barton, Reality Thief brought his MindSets show back to Orange Room. The last one was pretty strange . . .this time . . .it was Beyond Belief!!! Not only did Brad blow minds with 2 different sets of Cerebral Demonstrations of Mental Gymnastics, Forced Synchronicity, Vocal Analysis/Para-Linguistics, and MIND CONTROL, but he also broght back some Old School favorites, Modifying the New Stuff, as well as exploiting the fact that it was his BIRTHDAY!!!!
Tim and Bill Witter on tabla and Tom on the guitar opened for this evening full of Bragic.

Between Patrick and Lea's I'mandala communal art creation, Intimate Illusions by Brad Barton the Reality Thief, performances by the Presidio Quartet followed by Tim and Bill Witter on tabla with Tom on the guitar, this was a Birthday Party to remember. Thank you everyone for making this ultimate!

Two alien worlds collided at the Orange Room: the Zoopy Show performed a set of electro rock with mutant puppets, followed by Planet Booty’s wacked out space funk. The evening culminated in a special pole dance performance by Catherine Rose of Slinky Productions.

The First Annual Pie Competition

Inspired by the annual chili cook-off tradition, the pie-off fantasy was finally manifested. Eleven artful and inspiring entries, ten category score sheets, a tough experienced commisioner, twenty judges or so, golden trophies, three euphoric winners—the vision was complete. All this was followed by The Big Lebowski on the big screen and white russians to maintain the sugar high.

The mandala created on May 29 will become the heart of a much larger canvas 8 feet in diameter. That's a lot of painting magic to share!
